I just happened to find this post incomplete and decided that despite how late it is, I should still post it. This was our Thanksgiving feast. We actually went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which was CRAZY! I don't know if we'll ever make it back unless our kids want to go when they get older. It was super crowded and COLD, but it was something that you have to do once if you live here, right? The best part was that we got to see the Smith's and Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. We were able to spend the weekend together including the After Thanksgiving Sales and a game of Hide-n-Seek at the playground. Other parents looked at us funny, because we were 80% adults. Oh well, we had fun!

The 1st Birthday Party!
The Theme: CIRCLES!
The Color Scheme: Pink, black, white and grey (like the birthday girl's dress!)
The Invitation:

The Greeting:
The Taste-test:
The Preference:
That's right, Morgan refused to eat her 1st Birthday cake despite much coaxing. So someone joked that we should give her a cucumber and sure enough, she ate that right up! In Morgan's defense, she did eat a cupcake on her actual birthday.
She's just picky about her frosting. Here she is asking for "MORE!"
Thank you to everyone who celebrated this time with us and helped us out. We had a lot of fun planning it and having our nearby family and friends over. Thank you to family far away that showed Morgan some birthday love, too. Happy Birthday to our silly little girl!

Morgan's first Halloween
Sleepy Hollow (year 3). This time with the cousins! This was the perfect time to take a drive to Sleepy Hollow. The leaves were beautiful!
Coming soon: Morgan's 1st birthday party pics!

Montauk
As a last summer bash, we went on a family vacation to Montauk, NY. It is the furthest most point on Long Island. A small beach town. We had a lot of fun just enjoying the beach and relaxing! Here are some pics of our trip.
As you might notice in some of these pictures, Morgan has a major scab on her nose because she decided she was big enough to jump off the couch at the hotel but ended up landing on her nose. It was pretty sad. But she loved the beach!
Morgan's favorite toy lately has been this Eeyore. She carries it around in her mouth wherever she goes! We think it is because she was teething and it felt good to chew on his nose. She popped 3 more teeth after a week of carrying him around. That brings her up to a count of 7 total teeth!
Here are some cute pics that somehow got deleted from the last post. They were cute so I had to add them. BTW, the last post was creatively done (or rather, her scribe) was Derek, not me. It was a very creative post.
One last thing, Morgan is a very good helper around the house. She loves to be involved in whatever we are doing. So we've put that energy to some good use. She has a couple of chores around the house 1. pushing her booster seat back in place after meals and, 2. helping to unload the dishwasher! We love it!
And her major accomplishment as of recently is that Morgan has said her first three words; "music," "finished," and "milk" Ok so they were all in sign language but hey, as long as she can communicate a little better without her high-pitched screaming, we don't mind how she does it.
