Montauk

As a last summer bash, we went on a family vacation to Montauk, NY. It is the furthest most point on Long Island. A small beach town. We had a lot of fun just enjoying the beach and relaxing! Here are some pics of our trip.

As you might notice in some of these pictures, Morgan has a major scab on her nose because she decided she was big enough to jump off the couch at the hotel but ended up landing on her nose. It was pretty sad. But she loved the beach!

Morgan's favorite toy lately has been this Eeyore. She carries it around in her mouth wherever she goes! We think it is because she was teething and it felt good to chew on his nose. She popped 3 more teeth after a week of carrying him around. That brings her up to a count of 7 total teeth!

Here are some cute pics that somehow got deleted from the last post. They were cute so I had to add them. BTW, the last post was creatively done (or rather, her scribe) was Derek, not me. It was a very creative post.

One last thing, Morgan is a very good helper around the house. She loves to be involved in whatever we are doing. So we've put that energy to some good use. She has a couple of chores around the house 1. pushing her booster seat back in place after meals and, 2. helping to unload the dishwasher! We love it!

And her major accomplishment as of recently is that Morgan has said her first three words; "music," "finished," and "milk" Ok so they were all in sign language but hey, as long as she can communicate a little better without her high-pitched screaming, we don't mind how she does it.

My Summer Adventures

Mom and I surprised Grandmas and Grandpas in Utah in July. Grandma Anderson screamed so loud when we showed up on her doorstep, that it kind of hurt my ears.

Mom, Dad, and I went to the Long Island Children's Museum. It was a lot of fun, but I don't know why mom wanted to play in fake sand, we have real sand only 30 min. away at Jones Beach, I gave her a real smile for the picture though.

This was my favorite part of the museum... BUBBLES!! Dad pulled this wire, and it raised a wall of bubbles. It. Was. Amazing.

Dad and I in on the slide in the kids babies area. I wanted to go upstairs and learn about electricity and mirrors, but my parents like to take me to things that are special for my age. Whatever.

Don't make fun of me for this picture! We were at the beach and it was soooo bright, but I took such a good nap; the ocean breeze, the sound of splashing and laughter put me to sleep.

The first time in the OCEAN!! It didn't take long for me to like the cold water, dad tricked me. He took me out slowly, like a frog in a boiling pot of water... before I knew it I was having so much fun splashing and dunking dad in the water. (BTW: this is swimming in the Long Island Sound, across the water from Rhode Island).

My first camping trip! Our camping neighbors were only 20 feet away in every direction, I felt like I was in Manhattan again! My booster chair has a tray that comes off really easy (I guess so that mom and dad can put it in the dishwasher). I love it because every time I take it off, my food goes everywhere and Mom and Dad say: "Morgan!?" They must think it's funny, like me.

Teddy Roosevelt's House near where we live in NY. This was considered the "Summer White House" and the house... blah, blah, blah... the rocking chairs were really fun. Mom and Dad let me rock all by myself.

Back to the Utah Pictures...

Mom told me this is a fork generations photo. I don't know what Grandma Great, and Grammie have to do with forks and spoons, but I LOVED seeing them. Both Grandmas gave me big hugs.

My Grandpa Anderson can be summed up in two words: Fun and Silly! It must be the gray hair. We had a fully functioning splash park in G&G's backyard. **Viewer discretion is advised: Mom forgot to bring my swimsuit.

Here I am again...

My cousin Hadlee is the best cousin ever! She teaches me how to survive, including how to slowly chew through a tupperware container... I thought you just pop off the blue thing, boy was I wrong!

Grammie, Dustin, Emily, and Cameron came to New York for a fun visit. It was non-stop fun. Grammie played and held me a lot.

We all went on walks together at the Planting Fields, but sometimes they would leave me by myself in the stroller. I was strapped in, so I wasn't going anywhere, trust me...

Getting ready for this last one... I LEARNED TO WALK! I planned it so I would be walking by the time Grammie and my aunts and uncles were visiting from Utah. Again, I don't have clothes on (is anyone else seeing a theme?).

I hope you've had fun learning about my 2010 Summer Adventures. I know I'm little (and without clothes most of the time), but I had a stellar summer! We are seeing so many fun things in New York and New Jersey. Until next time, fans everywhere, this is MEA signing off!
