A Day in the Life of a Princess...

Once upon a time in a kingdom run by the most wonderful king and queen, there lived a beautiful princess. One day (and everyday in fact, since most of her days are much of the same), woke up from a great night's sleep and began her day by tapping her feet against the crib bars and babbling to herself. Some might argue that she was trying to awake her parents, the king and queen. But no, she was a princess with manners of course. Finally, when she was permitted to exit her wing of the castle and enter the breakfast wing, she was delighted to find that her breakfast consisted of not just milk, but a fine banana puree also! Oh, how she loves banana puree.

Then after a luscious meal, it is off to dress with a little help from the chamber maids.

And of course, accessorize!

In order to keep up her prestigious status, the princess must attend her royal social events
Those events are always draining and therefore call for shutting out the world. Inclusively, a princess must have her beauty rest!
Then on to her daily exercise. But she's the princess, so her Highness will ride in the carriage while the servants do the work.
Time to stretch (a.k.a. play and enjoy the view while the exerciser stretches.)
Then, deciding her highness could benefit from some exercise, she does a few pushups
A proper lady always has a few talents. So she is off to practicing the arts.
Create messes as she pleases because well, she doesn't have to clean them up, she's the princess. One might also consider this her creative outlet, she does need culture as a lady.
With unlimited resources (ha ha), Her Royalship adds a little enjoyment to her day by shopping for whatever her heart desires. (this picture was not staged)
The princess often travels to far away lands to see the great ocean and work on her royal suntan...
After a long day, the princess finally arrives at her favorite part of the day: The arrival of her Prince! (Morgan gets super excited when dad comes home even if she was crying and very upset, she will stop and get excited when he walks in the door. This video does not show an accurate excitement level due to distractions)

As is customary, the royal family joins together each evening for a King's feast.
Just before bed, the princess washes off the day with a luxurious bubble bath.
At last, it is off to be entertained by her personal jester (aka mom or dad) ...

...and then the princess returns to her wing of the castle for the night where she will dream of her perfect princess life and her handsome, charming prince.

RUNaMUCK

We ran a 5K race this weekend called RUNaMUCK. It was Derek's first race ever and he did awesome! We had a lot of fun. The race was a trail run most of the way with obstacles (logs to jump over, mud pits to crawl through, beams to climb over, ropes to jump through, river up to our chests to run through, etc) . We got super muddy. We were glad we did it. The night before we camped at a campground near the race. This was Morgan's first camping experience! Here are some pictures of our adventure weekend.
